Tao Luna Tries to Make It a Double

Chinese sharpshooter Tao Luna, who won the gold medal of women's air pistol, will try to make it a double in Friday's 25m pistol.

Previously unknown Tao made a name for herself this year and surprised even her coach by winning gold at the Sydney World Cup and demonstrated her consistency by winning again in Munich.

Veteran Salukvadze also has two World Cup places this year and comes into the Olympics as a favotire for the finals. Salukvadze won gold at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games and placed in the top eight in Barcelona and Atlanta.

Past Olympian Evglevskaya won this event at the 2000 Atlanta World Cup and is an experienced shooter under pressure, placing third at the world championships in the women's 10m air pistol.

Other competitors to look out for include Maria Grozdeva of Bulgaria and Yuliya Bondareva of Kazakhstan who were second and third respectively behind Evglevskaya in Atlanta.
