Chinese Culture to Embrace Paris

"Chinese Cultural Season", a large-scale cultural exchange event, will be staged in Paris from late October till February next year, according to the Chinese Ministry of Culture.

This comprehensive cultural event, scheduled on October 28- February 25, will include both exhibitions of relics and performances of traditional Chinese art like Peking Opera.

The exhibition of cultural heritage, a selection highly representative of China's cultural relics unearthed during the past 27 years, will be the keystone of this event, according to the organizer.

Chinese relic treasures were first put on display in Paris in 1973 and received high acclaim. The current selection consists of 300 pieces from a historical period stretching some 2,500 years.
