A North China "Zhongguancun" Jointly Put up by Inner Mongolia & Tianjin
Tianjin and Hohhot have lately entered into an agreement on cooperation for jointly setting up two projects: Inner Mongolia Information Port and an IT software park with an investment totaling two billion yuan.
The two projects, each with a planned investment of 0.5 and 1.5 billion-yuan respectively, are the largest of the kind run in cooperation by the two cities, and also the very important ones for the Inner Mongolia to play a part in the western development. The port has launched the first bilingual website of Chinese and Mongolian languages and also an electronic market for accessories. Covering an area of two square km, the IT software-park consists of four functional areas including software, science and trade, industry and park for innovative career. The completion of the software-park will serve as an "incubator" for information and high-tech industry of the autonomous region, a "Zhongguancun" in Inner Mongolia.
