Bank Promises 1 Billion Yuan Credit Line to College

The Guangdong Branch of the China Agriculture Bank Tuesday signed an agreement with the South China University of Agriculture, promising to issue a 1 billion yuan (some 125 million US dollars) credit line to support the university's development.

According to the new agreement, the loans will be used to improve the university's teaching and research facilities, the staff's living standard and assist poor students.

The agreement also said that the university should provide talent support, including consultations and training to the bank.
