Tobacco Industry: Annual Profit Payments and Tax Turnover to Break Through 100 Billion Yuan
Specialists from Development Researching Center of Chinese State Council prospect that annual profit payments and tax turnover of tobacco industry will break through 100 billion yuan.
In the early half this year, the whole industry of tobacco goes well: sharp decline in produce and sale as well as substantial decrease of prices to some degree have been contained; the whole industry keeps a promising trend. Production and levied taxes of the early half this year have both finished more than 1/2 of the annual plan target. As to tobacco industry, demand basis still exists to maintain the growth, and the industry supply ability is still large. Presently it is emergent to discuss how to improve the market competition ability of advantageous enterprises in this line to face the pressure after China enters the WTO.
