International Tourism Festival Opens in East China

The '2000 Hangzhou International Tourism Festival kicked off last weekend in the capital of east China's Zhejiang Province.

The festival started with a symphony concert.

The month-long event includes a sweet-scented osmanthus festival at the famous West Lake park, a lantern exhibition, a golf invitation match, a dragon boat race and a chrysanthemum show.

The festival will close on October 21 with a fireworks display.
