China's Economic Growth Rate to Top Asian Countries: Survey

A survey said Monday that China and Malaysia will be the top two countries which are to enjoy fastest economic growth rate in Asia this year.

The survey, conducted by ten international financial institutions, predicted China's economic growth rates this year and next year are to reach 7.85 and 7.89 per cent respectively, higher than this year target of 7 per cent.

Fueled by the country's achievements in economic reforms and recovery of the consumer market, China's economy is able to achieve better performance, some field experts said in Beijing on Monday.

Meanwhile, the ten financial institutions including Merrill Lynch, US-based Citibank and ABN.AMRO Bank said in the survey that Malaysia is expected to enjoy an average growth rate of 7 per cent in these two years. (Source: chinadaily.com.cn)
