China's First Wideband IP City Network Opened in Nanjing

China's first wideband IP city network was opened in Nanjing yesterday. This expressway can make the speed of access to Internet 100 times quicker.

Covering the major parts of the city proper and some suburban counties, the network is an optic high-speed information platform, the opening of which has made Nanjing the first in China to provide such service for its millions of Internet users.

The wideband IP city network is the implementation of the new optic Internet in the city. The network is directly linked up with the national network. The outlet wideband can reach 4000 MB, and its bandwidth can be raised at any time according to information capacity and the needs of Internet users.

The network can provide services like e-commerce, online college, long-distance office working, online movie, online TV, videophone, long distance treatment and online karaoke as well as online remote control and monitor and others.
