China Sounds Success in Developing TCS Controlling System
An appraisal on the TCS soft controlling system developed by Wayson (Shenzhen) Company has lately been made by experts in automation with Yang Jiachi taking the lead, founding father of the atom and hydrogen bombs in China, academician of CAS and joined by Chinese Academy of Sciences, Qinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Sino-chem as well. The assessment has testified to that the reliability of the controlling system has reached the world advanced level.
As learned, of all the controlling systems used in China, over 95% are imported, and moreover, in those large and medium-sized enterprises, almost 100% of the market shares for the system are monopolized by the imported ones. In view of the situation, Dr. Shi Jun, a graduate of CAS, together with other technical workers of Wayson, starting from 1997, devoted themselves to the study and development of the system. By assimilating and drawing up the experience of the latest achievements in the field as regards computer, telecommunication, integrated circuit, software, they have eventually succeeded in developing the system themselves.
Based on PC, the TCS controlling system has integrated the merits of DCS and PLC, forming a new-type of system with a special feature for actual-time control. Environmental tests and credible experiments have proven that the standard, properties and credibility of the products have all reached international level, and the system has been successfully put to use in the Ma'anshan Iron and Steel Company in Anhui Province.
