Beijing to Ease Restrictions on Investing Overseas

Beijing is considering lifting restrictions on domestic enterprises investing abroad. New regulations, including simplified application and approval procedures and rules on the management of overseas-based Chinese firms, will be introduced soon by the municipal government.

More than 290 Beijing-based firms now have overseas investments, with a combined investment value of 290 billion U.S. dollars. A majority of these firms are involved in trade.

Beijing plans to send personnel overseas in the next few years to have professional training on cross-country management.
