Beijing Signs 15 Billion Yuan Co-operation Pacts

Beijing's Western District has signed 78 co-operation pacts involving 15 billion yuan (US$1.81 billion) worth of investment during a two-day economic co-operation trade fair that closed Wednesday.

According to the organizers, most of the projects are medium and long-term investment pacts in real estate, commerce and industry, science and technology and tourism.

Leading businesses in China such as China Telecom and China Mobile signed letters of intention to move their headquarters to the Western Districts in downtown Beijing.
