China's First Light Railway in Trial Operation
A 5.4 kilometer-long light railway line went into trial operation Thursday in Dalian City, northeast China's Liaoning Province. The line is the first light railway line in China.
The train, with a designed speed of 70 kilometers per hour, will go through the downtown areas in Dalian and is expected to alleviate the city's traffic jams during rush hours.
