Zhejiang, A "Silicon Valley Paradise" in the Shaping
A "Silicon Valley Paradise" is going to be built in Zhejiang province for speeding up its high-tech development, said Cai Songyue, governor of the province at the first forum on the shaping of the "Silicon Valley Paradise" held in Hangzhou.
As one of the regions with the fast economic development in China, the per-capita GDP in the province is up to 1400 US dollars, and the province has seen its traditional industries being upgraded and economic structure adjusted. In addition, enterprises are ambitious to develop themselves into high-tech ones. Cai Songyue said after analyzing the fundamental conditions of the province and the trend in the development of information technology both domestic and foreign, the provincial Party committee and government have decided to build it into one of the high-tech centers in China.
