Chinese Olympic Delegation Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

September 12, 15th day of the 8th lunar month, the Mid-autumn Festival day, saw the Chinese Olympic delegation arrived in a large impressive force at Sydney. As prompted by ardent love and warm feeling for national tradition, the Chinese Olympians joyously had this unforgettable festival marked alongside their local Chinese compatriots in Sydney.
An evening party was specially held in honor of the Chinese Olympic delegation by Australia-China Olympic Friendship Promotion Association, which is formed of 77 overseas Chinese groups for providing ready services to Chinese Olympians during their days in Sydney.
Soon in Sydney, Yuan Weimin, on behalf of the Chinese Olympic delegation, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Australian people for the warm welcome they had been given and the great enthusiasm and patriotism shown them by overseas Chinese compatriots in Australia.
