China's Foreign Trade Volume Hit US$30 Billion in Eight Months
China's foreign trade volume hit US$301.7 billion in the first eight months this year, up 36.3 percent on the yearly basis, according to the latest statistics released in Beijing Wednesday.
According to the General Administration of Customs, the import volume between January and August reached US$159.3 billion, a year-on-year rise of 36.7 percent, and the export volume was US$142.9 billion, up 34.6 percent.
China recorded a favorable trade balance of US$16.9 billion during the eight-month period.
