China's Overseas Capital Absorption Up 30%
The overseas contractual investment poured into China soared 31.27 percent in the first eight months of this year, according to the latest official statistics available Tuesday.
The amount of overseas investment totaled 33.253 billion U.S. dollars between January and August, showing a sign of recovery, said China's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The number of newly-registered overseas-funded enterprises reached 13,787 in the same period, a year-on-year increase of 27.72 percent.
Overseas investment actually used in China was 22.793 billion dollars, down 7.91 percent than that of last year.
