Lately "Siemens Olympic Elitists Drive", a move buttressed up by Beijing 2008 Olympic Bid Committee, was launched in China to back Beijing 2008 Olympic bid.

A delegation known as "Siemens Young Elitists", formed of ten doctoral and M.A. students from Tsinghua University, Beijing University, Beijing Physical Culture University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Wuhai University and Zhongshan University, will be on a tour mission to Sydney Olympics. A study is to be made by the delegation into the Sydney Olympics on environmental protection, human resources and the use of high technology. Meanwhile, news coverage will be provided by all large Chinese news media, TV stations and web sites on the delegation's tour in Sydney.
