6th Collegiate Athletic Meet Ends

China Sixth Collegiate Athletic Meet concluded in Chendu, Yang Rudai, vice chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, announced September 11.

China Sixth Collegiate Athletic Meet lasted for eight days, from September 4 to 11. The athletes from more than 200 colleges in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao, competed in the games. 31 athletes broke 19 records for the meet and 2 athletes set national records.

The Guangdong and Liaoning teams both placed in the top ten in terms of comprehensive score, the Shanghai team came in the top ten in the group science reports, 10 teams including the Beijing team were honored with sportsmanship awards, and 20 teams including Shanghai Traffic University won the Headmaster Cup.
