First Automated Bank in Northwest China

The first 24-hour self-service bank in northwest China is now in operation in Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

The local branch of the Bank of China (BOC), one of the four major commercial banks in China, is the operator of the quick-serve bank.

Banking specialists say that this is BOC's way of introducing advanced banking technology, offering convenient service and gaining an edge on its competitors in the domestic market.

Within minutes, bank customers can complete transactions involving cash savings and withdrawal, account management, and financial consulting at the bank at any time, where automatic teller machines, computer systems for service consulting and other banking equipment are available, according to BOC officials.
