Filming Starts for TV Series on Dr. Sun Yat-Sen
Filming of a television series on the life of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, the respected forerunner of the democratic revolution in modern China, has started in Cuiheng Village, Xiangshan County (now Zhongshan City), in south China's Guangdong province.
Dr. Sun Yat-Sen led the struggle to overthrow the feudal monarchy that reigned for about 2,000 years in China and build up a democratic republic.
Assembled for the production are a group of expert filmmakers who have shot many major serials like "The Dream of the Red Mansion", "the Romance of the Three Kingdoms," and "the Heros in the Marsh" as well as a number of leading actors.
A movie set has been constructed in Sun's hometown with total investment nearly 12 million U.S. dollars.
