HK Chief Justice Meets Lord Chancellor
The Honorable Chief Justice Andrew Kwok-nang Li of Hong Kong met British Lord Chancellor Lord Irvine of Lairg Monday at the Court of Final Appeal (CFA).
They exchanged views on various subjects of mutual interest and the chief justice thanked the lord chancellor for the contribution of the British Law Lords to the work of the CFA.
Since 1997, the Hong Kong and British judiciaries have maintained a good relationship and the visit by the lord chancellor has further enhanced the ties, said a spokesman for the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The lord chancellor is on a three-day visit in Hong Kong from September 10 to 12.
