China Has 12 Million Teachers
China's population of teachers totaled 12 million by the end of last year, which means that there is a teacher for every 20 students in China.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Education, there are 14.88 million teaching and administrative staff, including 11.79 million teachers, for 244 million students.
The teachers work at 860,000 schools ranging from kindergartens to colleges.
