China Scored a Breakthrough in Deep-sea Detection Technology

An electromagnetic instrument developed by China herself for submarine detection has successfully collected materials from the physical electric field at the seabed of the Taiwan Straits, thus filling up the gap in the study of geophysics in China.

The marine electromagnet is an advanced technology for submarine detection. So far, most of the countries in the world use the gravitation magnet for physical detection of submarine formation and resources, but the method is of no avail to coral and tundra. In recent years, some developed countries have been studying electromagnetic technology, which is able to detect all submarine conditions at the seabed.

As learned a research group with He Jishan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering at the head, has scored a great success in creating for China remarkable economic benefits by making an exploration on land, in rivers and lakes. Through two years of research and endeavor for the development, the research group has resulted in producing the world-advanced electromagnetic device for submarine detection. Being able to penetrate 100 meters as deep into the seabed the instrument has succeeded in gathering all related data and it can be plumbed to as deep as 500 meters in the sea, said He Jishan.
