Beijing's Machinery, Electrical Equipment Trade Up

The export value of machinery and electrical equipment in Beijing reached 1.28 billion US dollars in the first seven months of this year, up 93.2 percent from the same period last year, latest statistics from Beijing Customs show.

The import value of such products during the same period reached 2.94 billion US dollars, increasing 30.5 percent from the same period last year.

Overseas-funded enterprises exported some 1.01 billion US dollars of machinery and electrical equipment in the first seven months, which was 80 percent of the city's total export of such products.

Increased tax reimbursement for exports and preferential policies for exporting software products have contributed to the rapid growth of the machinery and electrical equipment trade.

Moreover, Beijing has expanded its original machinery and electrical equipment markets in Hong Kong, Japan, the United States, Europe, Latin America, Canada and Australia this year.

Europe has become Beijing's second largest market for Machinery and Electrical Equipment.
