Int'l Education Show Opens in Northeast China

The 2000 China Changchun International Education Exhibition was inaugurated in this provincial capital of Jilin, northeastern China.

The show, with the theme of "International Exchange and Cooperation on Education in the New Century", has attracted exhibitors including 129 overseas schools from foreign 16 countries and regions as well as 76 domestic educational institutions.

Meanwhile, over 60 local and foreign computer manufacturers and educational software developers have also participated in the exhibition, which ends next Monday.

During the exhibition, an international forum on education, with four other forums, will be held, at which a number of Chinese and foreign educators will give lectures.

A series of other programs will also be held in the coming four days, including talks on establishment of sister schools, student exchanges, training, and exchange of research achievements in the field.
