Fire accidents caused by electricity last year numbered over 1,350, and in the first half of this year over 700, or 26.8 percent of the total. Liu said it is high time to publicize information on the correct use of electricity and to intensify government control in electricity. Specialists are required to be certified to use electric facilities and machinery involved in construction and decoration.
