The arrested two were carrying 182 heroin pills totaling 546 grams in weight, according to local newspaper reports.

On August 30, sources from southwest China's Guizhou Province informed police at the Lukou Airport in Nanjing that two people aboard an airplane A-320 that flew from Guiyang to Nanjing, were smuggling drugs that they had swallowed.

The two suspects were, Gu Jiaping, 17, a farmer from Huoqiu County of Anhui Province, and Yang Biao, 19, from Guangshui City in central China's Hubei Province.

Gu and Yang were arrested immediately after the plane landed at the Lukou Airport at 3:15 pm August 30. They were carrying 101 and 81 heroin pills respectively.

Gu and Yang claimed that they were cheated by an employment advertisement and were forced to swallow the pills.

Another drug trafficker in connection with the case has been arrested at the Guiyang Airport.
