Fourth China Investment and Trade Fair to Be Held
The fourth China Investment and Trade Fair will be held in Xiamen Special Economic Zone, east China's coastal province of Fujian, from September 8-12.
The annual fair, the only national activity aiming to lure direct overseas funds, is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Fujian Provincial People's Government and Xiamen City People's Government.
The fair is designed to absorb overseas funds, trade products made by foreign-funded enterprises, and conduct internal and foreign trade activities.
An international investment forum will be held during this trade fair.
The three previous fairs, also held in Xiamen, have enabled overseas investors to understand China's latest investment policies, while also enabling Chinese enterprises to gain an understanding of the worldwide capital movement.
During these fairs, 6,708 investment contracts were signed, involving 37.249 billion U.S. dollars in overseas funds. Import and export volume was 2.968 billion U.S. dollars.
