Donations No Lack to Help Chinese Olympians

Called on September 5 in Beijing was a press conference for collecting donations to help Chinese Olympians to 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Xu Zengwu, director of the Market Development Committee of COC (Chinese Olympic Committee), told that the Committee has received donations from 28 enterprises so far in China.

In returning the donations made, the COC Market Development Committee specially grants the 28 donators the rights to use COC chartered names and symbols for their products. According to a COC decision, the Zhejiang Qiandaohu Yangshengtang Drinking Water Co. Ltd, which produces Nongfu Shanquan Drinking Water, and Shanghai General Motors Co. Ltd. will enjoy as two top donators the highest level of rights and interests granted by the COC during a five years' time of cooperation.

Xu said that the collection of donations for Chinese Olympians can be simply described as being "more and an increased amount of money provided and sustained help ensured" to help advance the country's Olympic events through Sydney Olympics and new Olympiads in the future.
