U-19 Youth Soccer Finals to Kick Off in Shanghai

September 9 will see 2000 China U-19 Youth Soccer finals as scheduled under starter's order in Shanghai. Eight U-19 youth soccer teams are reported to have turned up to take part in the finals to be held by youth soccer teams at the highest level of this age in Shanghai.

Qualifiers had first been fought among 78 U-19 youth soccer teams to leave 32 teams and in the place of these eight teams were finally chosen through elimination from four venues throughout China. The eight teams are: Yangpuzhixiao from Shanghai Wanshen Soccer Club, Shenyang Haishi, Guangdong Mingfeng, Qingdao Yizhonghainiu, No 2.Guangzhou Taiyangshen, Qingdao Shifang, Liaoning Fushun, and Jiangsu Fa'ersheng going to fight it out for "Zhida Cup" championship.

The finals will be held at Zhabei and Yangpu Stadiums in Shanghai to produce the finalist teams through group round-robin and elimination. Shanghai Wanshen, the defender champion will challenge No.2 Guangzhou Taiyangshen to inaugurate the finals.
