Huhhot Holds ITF Women's Tennis Tournament

The International Tennis Federation has approved for the 2000 International Women's Tennis Satellite Tournament to be held in Huhhot, the provincial capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, from September 11 to 17, according to the Tennis Association of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Sixty-four women players from America, Russia, Australia, Austria, Japan, Thailand, China, China Hong Kong and China Taipei, will play in this match.

The International Women's Tennis Satellite Tournament will play in seven places in China this year. The previous six tournaments were all held in along the southeastern provinces and cities along the coast. The seventh and final tournament will be held in Huhhot.

The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has paid a lot of attention to this tournament. They have pulled out all the stops in terms of manpower, material and financial resources. The officials from the International Tennis Federation, who came to check tournament conditions, have rewarded them with praise. Most of the preparations for the tournament have already been completed.
