Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra to Perform in Beijing

The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will perform on September the 15th at Beijing's Century Theatre.

They'll play Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.2 in C minor and Sibelius'Symphony No.2 in D, Vietnam's Overture" The Eastern Sky Welcome A New Light Day" and China's National Dance of Yao People.

The orchestra will be conducted by Yoshikazu Fukumura, one of Japan's best-known and most versatile conductors.

Meanwhile, China's famous pianist Mao Weihui is to be invited to work with the Orchestra.

Mao Weihui, who's appeared in seven films, was a children movie star more than ten years ago.

The concert will mark 50 years since Sino-Vietnam diplomatic relations were established, and the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
