China, Cuba to Issue Commemorative Post Stamps

China and Cuba will issue a set of special postal stamps on September 26 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The set includes two stamps with designs of coastal landscape in south China's Hainan Province and a famous tourism destination in Cuba, according to a local postal official at a news conference held Wednesday in Haikou.

Each of the stamps is worth 80 fen (about ten U.S. cents), and the coastal coconut forest in Wenchang City has been selected as China's landscape on one stamp.

Wen Xingyuan, director of the provincial postal bureau, said that the issuing ceremony will be hosted by the China Postal Administration and the China National Philatelic Corporation in Wenchang.

A trade fair and a Sino-Cuban women's volleyball match will also be held.
