China Launches New Website on IT Investment
China's Ministry of Information Industry (MII) launched a portal website containing information about investment in the country's booming information technology (IT) industry, a sector that is to be open to foreign investment following China's accession to the World Trade Organization.
The www.ceiinet.gov.cn website offers on-line services for both government and private enterprises including information about investment projects, industrial policies, research and analysis, data on industrial development and interactive consultation about investment projects in the IT industry.
The website is sponsored by the Electronic Information Center under the MII. Chen Zhengqing, director of the center, said at the inauguration ceremony held today that the organization is to build the website into the number one information network for investment consultation and services in China.
