China's First-Grade Teachers Receive Training

Teachers of China's first-grade primary and high school students were recently trained on the revised teaching materials, according to Tuesday's "Guangming Daily".

The Ministry of Education first trained the administrators, principals and senior teachers, followed by all other teachers throughout the country.

The revised books include a compilation of new subject standards and teaching books, and the revision of current teaching outlines and books in high schools and the 9-year compulsory education period.

Training subjects for senior high school teachers include teaching plans, goals, research methods of the revised courses and outlines, and education reform in foreign countries.

Revision and revised content will be the focus of training of primary and junior high school teachers.

Experts who revised the teaching materials and publishers from the People's Education Press will take charge of the training program.

Revised course outlines and books for seven high schools subjects have been used in ten provinces and cities since the start of September. Revised course outlines for 16 compulsory subjects and books in primary grades have been used in the whole country since September 1.
