Festival promotes family activitiesChina's first Family Culture and Art Festival opened at the night of September 4 in Dongguan in Guangdong Province.Selected families from across the country performed programmes, which included singing, dancing and gymnastics, at the opening ceremony. During the 23-day festival, calligraphy, drawing, photography and invention exhibitions, family sports meetings, and gardening shows will be held. The festival is sponsored by the All-China Women's Federation, the Ministry of Culture and the China Central Television to promote healthy and colourful family activities. (China Daily) |
