Dalian to Make Int'l Fashion Festival China's Carnival
Dalian, a coastal city in northeast China's Liaoning Province, vows to make a forthcoming fashion festival a "China Carnival".
The 12th Dalian International Fashion Festival is scheduled to start on September 16. Dalian has gained a reputation for fashion for hosting such festivals for 12 consecutive years.
Dalian has invited a samba troupe from Brazil and other dancing troupes from Russia, Egypt and Spain to take part in celebrating the international fashion festival.
Festooned vehicles, dragon dances, dances with fans, gong and drum beating, and masked people will jointly add to the bustling parades of the port city.
The fashion festival in Dalian has become an important annual international event attracting growing numbers of overseas traders.
