Beijing Higher Education Seekers Realize Dreams

More than seventy three percent of people seeking higher education in Beijing were enrolled by colleges and universities this year.

According to today's Guangming Daily, nearly 40,000 students were enrolled, 1,690 more than the number set beforehand by colleges and universities in the Chinese capital.

Schools with more candidates than ever before have had to revise their original plan and increased their enrollment quota, the paper explained.

To prevent corruption during the course of enrollment, 158 higher education schools have experimented with enrolling students through the Internet, with 27,000 students enrolled this way, according to the paper.
