Senior Party Official Leaves for European Tour
Li Changchun, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, left Beijing Tuesday for a goodwill visit to Sweden, Italy and Spain.
Li, also secretary of the Guangdong provincial committee of the CPC, has been invited by the Swedish government, Italy's Democratic Party of the Left and the Spanish government.
Li's entourage includes Liu Jingqin, deputy head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
