High-Tech Top 10 Produced in China
Presently there are more than 17000 high-tech enterprises authenticated by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). Among which 1126 exceeded a hundred million yuan on the total sales of technology, industry and trade last year, which was 5 times of the number 5 years ago.
As the news from Southern Daily, the collective statistics with the State Statistics Bureau's approved serial provided by MOST Torch Center showed 1999 top ten high-tech enterprises were Motorola (China) Electronic Co., Ltd., Legend Group Holding Company, Tsingtao Haier Group Company, Sichuan Changhong Electronic Group Company, Hisense Group Company, Yangzi Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Seagate International Technology (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., Beijing Beida Founder Group Company, Shanghai Bell Telephone Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., East Communication Co., Ltd. in order. The total sales of technology, industry and trade of Motorola (China) Electronic Co., Ltd., Legend Group Holding Company, Tsingtao Haier Group Company were 23.61, 17.6 and 16.3 billion yuan respectively.
