Chinese Taipei Wins Sri Lanka Rugby Sevens
Chinese Taipei defeated reigning champions South Korea 38-21 in the final to win the Cup Championship in the second Singer Sri Lanka International Rugby Sevens in Kandy, Sri Lanka, on Sunday.
The Chinese Taipei team, who put up a stupendous performance, scored four goals against South Korea's three.
In the Plate Championship final, Japan trounced China 42-0, after leading 14-0 at half time.
Thailand won the Bowl Championship defeating Kandy Barbarians 35-26 in the final encounter.
The tournament was organized by the Kandy Sports Club and sponsored by Singer Sri Lanka, Srilankan Airlines and co-sponsored by Connaissance de Ceylon.
