Six Killed in Attempted Robbery of Bank Vehicle

In a failed attempt to rob a vehicle transporting a large sum of money for a bank in Changde, central China's Hunan Province, six people were killed.

Four gun-toting gangsters attempted to hijack the vehicle at the entrance of Jiangbei sub-branch of the Agricultural Bank of China at 6:20 p.m. Friday, they shot two guards and the driver of the vehicle, killing them right away.

The robbers also shot two other guards in the head. The wounded were immediately sent to the hospital and they later died there.

When the robbers failed to move the bank vehicle, they hijacked a taxi and fled, killing the taxi driver in the process. The taxi carries the plate number: XiangJ-X1128.

Local police are still fervently trying to locate the criminals.
