Hu Jintao Urges to Implement Jiang's Instructions on Party Building

All members of the Communist Party of China (CPC), especially leading officials, must implement important instructions on Party building by CPC General Secretary Jiang Zemin.

This was remarked by Hu Jintao, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, at the opening of the Autumn of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee. Hu is also a member of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat and president of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.

In his address, Hu urged leading Party officials to be good at analyzing world trends, understand the demands of the time, and always adhere to correct direction.

Peace and development remain the two major subjects for the whole world, but none of them has been completely resolved, Hu said.

China should grasp opportunities to speed up its own development and constantly push forward its current reform, opening up and modernization drive, Hu said.

Hu urged to maintain healthy trends in domestic economic development as they have been gained through much hard work during the current economic transition in the country.

He emphasized the need to study and resolve major problems in economic development, so as to achieve substantial improvement in the national's economy.
