Tourists to China Skyrocket in Number
It's learned from the National Tourism Administration that from January to July of this year, tourists coming to China reached nearly 47.58 million people and foreign exchange income from tourism was US $9.3 billion, 16 percent and 18.6 percent increase respectively over the same period last year. According to statistics, tourists from 15 major resource countries all saw growth in the first seven months, and 11 out of these countries had an increase of more than 10 percent. The number of visitors from the ROK, Russia, the Philippines, France, the United States and Japan increased by 20 - 40 percent.
