China Plans to Launch 15 Wildlife Rescue Projects

In the coming 10 years, China will launch 15 wildlife rescue projects and build a group of wild animals raising and training centers and wildlife monitoring centers, so that 35 percent of wild animals under key State protection and 45 percent of the wild plants under key protection can really be protected properly.

The news is announced by the State Forestry Administration on August 30.

Wild animals and plants listed in the 15 projects are: giant pandas, ibis, tigers, Tibetan antelopes, golden monkeys, Yangtze Alligator, elephants, gibbons, musk deer, Przewalski's Gazelle, wild deer, cranes, pheasants, orchards and sago cycases.
