Tibetan Children's Art troupe Leaves for Latin America

Tibetan Children's Art Troupe left Beijing Thursday for a visit to Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.

The trip to Latin America is the first for the troupe, which consists of nearly 30 members. Most of them are of the Tibetan ethnic group and aged between 8 and 13.

During the trip, the young artists will stage performances in the four countries, and participate in celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Chilean diplomatic relations as well as art festivals in the Mexican cities of Monterrey and Merida.

The troupe, established in 1993, gave a brilliant show in Virginia of the United States in 1998.
