Japanese FM Leaves for Home

Japanese Foreign Minister Yohei Kono left Beijing Thursday afternoon for home after concluding his four-day official visit to China.

During Kono's stay in the Chinese capital, Chinese President Jiang Zemin, Premier Zhu Rongji and Vice-Premier Qian Qichen met with him on separate occasions.

In addition, Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan and Kono held talks on Sino-Japanese relations and other issues of common concern.
