Cambodian Premier Meets Newly-Appointed Chinese Ambassador

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen met the newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador Ning Fukui Wednesday morning.

During the meeting, Hun Sen said Cambodia has entered the best period ever in its history and the government would grasp the opportunity to develop economy.

He told the Chinese ambassador that the Cambodian government has been implementing a "two victory" policy, which is to forget the past, have the future in view and concentrate all energy on economic development.

Ning said he agreed with Hun Sen's assessment of the Cambodian situation and appreciated the policy made by the Cambodian government for realizing peace, national reconciliation and economic development and seeking friendly relations with foreign countries.

Hun Sen said the stability and prosperity of China are beneficial to the stability and peace of the Asian-Pacific area. He added that he has been studying China's experience of "open-door" policy so as to promote the development of the country's economy.
