China to Hold First Website Auction

As reported from 2000 China International Sister Cities Exchange - Economic Trade Talks Organization Committee, China is going to hold its first website auction in Beijing towards the end of September. It is said the auction to be held is designed for an overhaul or regrouping of websites to boost the country's IT industry.

Internet has rapidly expanded global wide for its fast convenient service and unlimited time-space. Since its rise as a new communication medium of modernity it has had its full impact being felt in bringing about the advent of a new life and development of a new economy in China and many other countries abroad.

News report says China International Trade Development Net is to sponsor the first website auction in China, with evaluation by famous Chinese research institutes and professional elites, to be anchored by Zhonghongxin Auction Co. Ltd. World-renowned dot-com investors and funds will be invited as purchasers at the auction.
