Team of CCTV Journalists will Go to Sydney

CCTV will send 110 reporters and 300 backup personnel to Sydney for nearly a month to provide in-depth comprehensive coverage of the 27th Olympic Games next month.

Starting September 1, CCTV will introduce a channel (CCTV-5) devoted to the Olympics. It will introduce the Chinese athletes who will compete in Sydney and show highlights of the 1996 Atlanta Games. Starting September 15, it will provide coverage of the Sydney Games from 7:00 am to 2:00 am in the morning. The channel will broadcast programs including news, specials, live broadcasts, previews of events, highlights, replays, and commentaries.
